Riding with the wind

Biker Profile :

Riding Style : Usually controlled and smooth , goes into rash mode when challenged. In Police registers once. Enjoys drag races.

Rides Owned : Bajaj KB100, Honda Unicorn (Current)

Top Speed : 110 km/hr

Accidents : 4

Preferred destination : Beach, Secluded Scenic drives, Highways

Preferred routes in Tvpm: Museum -Kawdiar , The Kazhakuttom Bypass Highway , Pattom- Kesavadas puram , the beach road.

Preferred Riding Mode : Cruising

Why I love biking ? I cant explain . I've done around 3500 kms riding within Tvpm , alone . But I cant get enough of riding again . There may be multitude of reasons.

Speed thrills almost everyone , but not me. I would rather prefer cruising along the highway, minding my own business. For a biker , the ride is a high - its a personal thing , unlike the car ride. The biker feels the wind , the engine underneath him , the gentle machine hum and the heart beat, he feels the road , the scenery flies past him - he rides with the wind . A ride is a beautiful thing . It feels like music or a painting.

To be continued......

"A ride is a beautiful thing . It feels like music or a painting."...i felt that comparison to be a lil strange...b'coz,from what i kno, bikes are associated with fastness..nd lots of conc. is needed wen u ride on a road.u shd be cautious of wats happening around.donno if that is there in music,as u neednt think about anything else wen u r singing nd it feels kinda floating...

still...a good comparison;likd th way u treat biking.. :)'biking-an art'

hey AL , thanx for the comment.

our college route holds few charms for me .a normal city cruise road. a biker needs a responding road. :)

bikes are associated with speed - not biking . biking has nothing to do with speed . the man feels one with the machine - he feels the throb of the engine , the rpm meets his pulse , a real biker enjoys the ride - like a true musician(u can relate to that) or a painter. the road is his canvas . and when u r on the high - strangely enough (here i will quote you) - "it feels kinda floating..."

thats exactly how i feel.

and it still needs all the concentration and awareness of the road. :)

the singer has his notes, he has to co-ordinate with the orchestra , check the mood of the audience and when he/she is on the high - there's only the voice and the music in the brain.

biker has the machine and the road.

Ever driven 3500kms in a car?
With over 10000kms in car and 7500 in 2-wheeler, I would chose the car any day. And preferred driving mode - oh yes - cruising.

There are few who prefer car over bike - and my age in a car - feels "solitary" on the road.

And I would slightly modify one of your metaphors...
"Driving-an-art"

Totally agree :D
